Following her appointment in December 2014, artist Alison Turnbull collaborated with the architects Scott Brownrigg and landscape architects Liz Lake Associates on the development of her proposal for Peterhouse Technology Park.
‘Those tiny little sparks’ is a response to the architecture of the site, the perforated ‘fins’ that wrap around the new ARM headquarters building, and to the wider context of technology and concepts of scale.
Formed from a series of triangular shapes across the façade of the car park building and the boulevard, they resemble leaves falling from a tree in autumn and being scattered by the wind - some landing on the ground but the majority affixing themselves to the face of the car park opposite.
